Dragon fruit (also known as pitaya) is one of nature’s most unique exotic fruits. They are mainly grown and exported from several Southeast Asian countries, such as Thailand and Vietnam. In Vietnam, the areas with suitable climate and soil to create the best quality of dragon fruit are Binh Thuan, Tien Giang. Dragon fruits have many varieties, but two main popular types in Vietnam are White dragon fruit (Hylocereus undatus) and Red dragon fruit (Hylocereus costaricensis)
